We have thoroughly been enjoying the most amazing week of weather we've had in Alaska thus far. It has been a hot 75 degrees every day with cloudless skies (except for the earlier thunderstorm). Although I've had to work the last few days, I'm even more excited for our weekend camping trip. Considering I will be going three days without seeing Cody, I'm very much looking forward to our time together this weekend.
Here's to praying we don't meet any of these folks:

(Attempt at) Fishing in Alaska
Cody had to have a nap before heading out last night
Capturing Wilson's different expressions
Hmm?
Cody's first Alaskan cast
Little Campbell Lake (not so very fruitful)
But it was delightfully sunny last night
Then at Taku (we spotted the beaver Wilson and I had seen earlier in the day)
10:00pm rainbow
Rainbow + reflection. oh, and Cody
We were treated to a flyover by an eagle couple
And here we wished we'd already bought a fancy camera.

Midnight Sunset Adventure
Cody and I headed out of a sunset catch last evening. Anchorage actually had a thunder storm! and it created a beautiful after effect. (Word was that there was lightning too, but we didn't see it. We were just excited to hear the thunder!)
The view that inspired us (approximately 11:30pm)
My classy fellow nabbed a popsicle as we sped out of the house
Wilson hardly minded the outing
We made it to the course (the closest place we could think of for a decent view) and Denali was in full view!
Cody appreciated that the range was nicely set up
Lookin' pretty fancy...
The finally view before we headed home (at 12:10am)

Father's Day Falls
Wilson and I took off with a couple coworkers to hike today and left Cody to fend for himself at work. We enjoyed a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l sunny 70 degree day! And a wonderful 3 hour hike. I will surely make our next visitors to Alaska take this one.
Just a few minutes into the hike, and Wilson was already muddy
Being that annoying person that likes to snap pictures
But this I had to document. We forded the river!
All the way across. barefoot. it was very chilly.
The view from the other side (it was only about 3 feet deep in the deepest part, but it was moving pretty darn quickly)
South Fork Falls
The girls: Alex, Me, Cassie and Baby Lily
Perhaps my favorite picture from the trip
I climbed down to get a better view and Wilson was a little concerned
My love for waterfalls continues...
And here we go back... (I was standing on a sandbar at the time)
Out of order picture of what most of the trail was like... easy but with some mud spots
Wilson had to go back in for a stick
And back at the trailhead, 3 hours later.
Wilson had to clean off in the Eagle River, darn.
Wonderful sunlight
Very tired pooch.
