An update, finally!

I apologize the the long delay, all you faithful blog checkers.

We're 'officially' settled into our house here at Yokota. It took about five weeks before our household goods arrived after we were placed in a house. It was like Christmas to see our furniture and kitchen items again! We were lucky enough to receive a three-bed, two and a half bath townhouse-style home. There's a yard for Wilson, we're just trying to decide whether to fence it or not (much, much smaller than our Alaskan yard).

Work has been quite the adjustment for me but hoping I'll get more settled as time goes by. Cody has investigated a couple options here on base, one being a teaching position at the par-3 course. He's just waiting to hear back and return from his month-long trip back to the midwest (he leaves Aug 25).

Our guest room is set up and we're happy to have any visitors! :)

Arrival to Japan

We're slowing getting settled in. Still no word on when we can expect to get into a house. We're of course hoping for a pet friendly house near the hospital as we're hoping to make it with only one vehicle, at least to start. The pets are doing better at the kennel. We've been able to see them everyday, except tomorrow, Memorial Day. The staff seem great and that has certainly been a comfort.
