Visit Continued

Our lunch stop on the way to Homer, St. Elias Brewing Company. Of course we had to try some new brews

This is the start to giving my dad free reign of the camera.

We encountered some snow along the way. It was still a very nice drive.

Had to Stop in Kasilof to gas up.

Thanks for all the great pics Dad!

Beautiful lighthouse on the bluff

The little snow we did encounter made the travel a little rough.

We finally made it to the halibut fishing capital of the world

Missed me!
First View of the Homer Spit.

Wild animals living in our hotel.

The view from our hotel room, it started to clear up a bit in the afternoon.

Is that a real Moose!

Just another day on the beach, right Mom?

Toe in :)

A house on the spit

Lands End, literally.

Alaska Island and Ocean Nature Center, wish it was open. Theme of the trip, closed Sunday, Monday

Heading down to the Beluga Slough nature trail.

Immature Eagle, one of many.

Taking a dip. Why the coat and gloves?

Found a birding hot spot. I need to come back for the Homer Shorebird Festival.

Finally found a spot we could put the camera. It was very cold down by the beach

A murder of crows

20 ft. away

The famous Salty Dog Saloon. The walls inside are covered in dollar bills. We had to leave a dollar behind the night before. GBR!!!

Monday morning coffee

They roasted their own beans right in the front of the coffee shop! Real good stuff.

Missing Emlyn.

Lunch stop.

No meat Monday. We took veggie sandwiches to go on the road.

Russian Orthodox Church in the small fishing town of Ninilchik. Look way up on the hillside.
Headed home and hoping we don't encounter any weather.
