Weekend of Warmer Weather

We enjoyed a Wilson-oriented weekend, complete with increasing temps (37!). I had the weekend off work, while Cody had to put in a few hours as the pro shop was being outfitted with new carpet. I didn't mind: it just gave me more time to read and catch up with the Hunger Games crowd.

We had such a great success with Wilson's first time off leash at the nearby dog park/lake on Friday that we headed back Saturday for a double lap. Wilson was such a submissive dog to even the most mellow, that one dog owner rewarded Wilson with treats! Upon encountering dogs, Wilson will run up to them and lay down: even the Scotties! It was interesting to see his reaction to the numerous moose we saw as well: even more interesting to hear his reaction to the moose we didn't see until we came up on him.

In addition to the dog park, we made several trip to the golf course (Wilson's favorite place to run) as well as time bonding with another golden that lives at our complex. We enjoyed an afternoon with coworkers/friends and Wilson was able to roughhouse with the other dogs he stayed with while we were in Hawaii. And now we're being rewarded with sleepy-dog behavior.

Cody heads to San Antonio late Tuesday night for his First Tee training and is looking forward to warmer weather and meeting up with his parents. Bon voyage, Cody!

Typical moose encounter picture: we decided to put Wilson on the leash. just. in. case.

Cody would like the record to show: no zoom was used in this picture

That trash can used to be ground level. (and there's a random dog)

  1. Love the moose!

For it being 37 degrees, you guys don't look super bundled up? Must be a different kind of cold out there?!
