Hike (Again) and Amazing Aurora Borealis

YEah, yeah, Wilson and I went on another hike today. Yet after making tacos for dinner, Cody and I couldn't decide what to do until we got a text from his buddy saying the northern lights were out. Problem solved: we immediately decided to 'go hunting'. After adjusting what seemed like every setting on the camera, (and quickly reading up on the manual and googling photography tips) I finally got a few decent shots. I'm still striving for that magazine/calendar worthy photo...
First picture I took was at the top of the saddle

Not my favorite hike, but it did treat me to some nice views

Wilson & I, such a happy hiking dog

View back toward Anchorage

We took to the balcony!

And off we went to Potter Marsh

Most of the color was this green, however much of the remaining pictures warped it to a yellowish green

Amazing formations appearing over the Chugach Mountains and filling the sky

Constantly dancing/changing

We could hear random geese honks as we stood outside in the 29degree weather...brrr

I love the reflection in the water!

Our gang (after a warming trip back home for more layers)

This was taken at about 1 am this morning before we finally called it a night
