For those following Anchorage's forecast for this week... it's looking pretty grim. Although we continue to get snow, we're very thankful for the growing daylight hours. Sunrise is at 8:00am & sunset now after 6:20pm! woot. It's amazing to think that just six weeks ago, the sun was setting before 4pm!
I got to go home early from work on Saturday, so Cody and I checked out the events of Fur Rondy (very comparable to Okoboji's Winter Games or Wayne's Chicken Show). We caught the outhouse races (pictures below) and walked through the winter fair (so strange!). We weren't any more tempted to ride rides in sub 30 degree weather than we are at 75 degrees.
