Day 3: On the Road Again

We enjoyed some hiking the following day, including a couple mile hike to a 200 foot cindercone. Then we drove along the park, down to the sea arch, created from the collision of lava and the ocean (one of my favorite sights of the trip).

One of several craters throughout the park
Headed out on our hike

We had about a 1/8 mile hike though a jungly-looking trail up to the viewpoint
We made it!

An overlook clear to the ocean

New lava flow over old

So happy to be driving in the versa
Cliff action- numerous warning to stay clear of the edge, as sudden drops in the cliff might occur, ekk!

The Sea Arch

One of my favorite pictures from the trip
The view straight down for Cody's dad

Clearly, Cody didn't obey

ahhhhh!

It was rather windy...
