Cody and I headed down to Kona Friday morning. Along the way, I read about how awesome the kayaking is at a bay just south of the city, and occasionally lends a chance to see dolphins. Even though we were 'dressed like tourists' we headed out in the kayak. Almost instantly, we had a bout of soggy bottom, but we both agreed it was well worth it. These pictures don't do it justice. After that, we hurried to see a very quaint little church, known as the Painted Church and as we sped back to catch our whale cruise, we past a penny press. (Yay, first pennies! Sadly, Cody had to run in alone while my shorts were drying in the car).

| This was one of Cody's very favorite moments of the trip |

| Here I am not paddling (according to Cody, I wasn't that useful anyway) |
| No zoom here, hence the edge of the kayak |
| Yellow tang? The water was extraordinarily clear near the monument |
| Cody still loving the experience |
