Day 4: Beach Day

Cody and I enjoyed breakfast on the beach, followed by a terrible attempt at snorkeling, after which we abruptly left the first beach in search of a more relaxing environment. Hapuna Beach was one of our very favorites. We enjoyed some ocean-side reading, attempted bogey boarding (and were mostly successful). We made a few cocktails back at the house (whilst entertained by the Bickersons and the gaggle of wild turkeys). We drove back into A bay for the gorgeous view of the sunset. It was a wonderfully relaxing day.
Cody surveying the area-- "We just have to get past these big waves..."

Breakfast on the beach: Pineapple and Coconut Turnovers with a White Mocha, mmmmm

Cody attempting to don his snorkel gear. I like this picture for the wave in the background

I quit after a big wave took me under and threw me around. pretty sure that wasn't what snorkeling supposed to be...
That's more like it...

Enjoying (that's the key word) a gruesome mystery novel on the beach

Bogey boarding for the first time!

Ocean hair
The beautiful Hapuna Beach
bahahaha

We found Goode's cousin... just as mean too

Waiting for the sunset
Beautiful!

The sun disappears within a matter of minutes

And we're off to Waikoloa Village- we grilled ribs for dinner, A+++ (someone's sporting the start of a sunburn...)
