Unfortunately, settling back into daily life is not nearly exciting at Hawaii. We're trying to find a way to go back, and seeing $217 one way tickets to Honolulu this week was mighty tempting (sadly, I only have 2 days leave and my counterpart's almost out of PTO). Alas, we'll keep up with our fond memories and hope those get us through the last of the winter blues here.
Cody's been busy as the pro shop gears up for the upcoming season. He has a few confirmed interns for the summer (although none from Nebraska!). They're working on merchandising and have recently overhauled the website. They're hoping the snow melts by mid-July :)
Speaking of snow, we've been 'enjoying' a few 'warm' days. It's held out in the 30s for a couple weeks, which has been delightful. After -15 degree temps, it feels practically balmy.
Wilson's been settling in as soon. We count ourselves lucky to be without any crazy 'bad dog' stories so far. We've just been experiencing the typical puppy selective hearing and disobedience. He does seem to enjoy the huge snow berm at our complex... see photos.
And just a heads up for anyone planning to be in the San Antonio area at the end of March: Cody will be attending a seminar for the First Tee and will be in town March 29-31. Other than that, we're open to visitors and would love to see anybody and everybody!
The city's gearing up for Fur Rondy and the Iditarod here in the next few weekends. We should have a few interesting pictures from that...
